A MAN has appeared in court charged with attempted murder.

Wayne Dujon is accused of stabbing Kevin Wilcox, 41, at a flat in Lee-on-the-Solent.

The 29-year-old, of no fixed abode, was one of three men arrested after police were called to the flat near the Discount Dry Cleaners store in High Street just after 1am on Saturday.

The victim had suffered serious wounds to his face and hands.

He was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham where he underwent surgery. Police say he is making a good recovery.

Dressed in a black, roundnecked sweatshirt and black tracksuit bottoms, Dujon spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

He sat flanked by two custody officers in the glass-panelled dock as the magistrates remanded him in custody to appear at Portsmouth Crown Court on Monday.

The two other men arrested on Saturday – aged 27 and 29 – have been released on bail until May 4 pending further police enquiries.
