POLICE are linking a knife-point shop robbery with two others in the past week.

A shop assistant at the One Stop, Elmer Road, Bognor, was forced to hand over £190 to a knife-wielding man at 5.55pm on Wednesday.

Detective Sergeant John Kalli, of West Sussex CID, said: ‘We are in the early stages of the investigation and are not ruling out the possibility that this robbery may be linked to the one on Saturday at Peters Newsagent in Middleton Road, Bognor and the Ladbrokes robbery in Chichester Road, Bognor, on Tuesday.

‘Fortunately no one was hurt in either of the robberies. Officers are talking to local businesses and residents and extra patrols of the area are being conducted.’

A 24-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery.
