Man arrested on suspicion of GBH after 30-year-old suffers head injury in Portsmouth

Police were called to Waverley Road at around 2pm on Saturday.
A number of officers were pictured at the scene and tape was put up around the area.

Hide AdOfficers have now arrested a 40-year-old man from Southsea on suspicion of GBH.
A spokesman for Hampshire Constabulary added: ‘We were called at 2.08pm with reports of a man with a head injury on Waverley Road.
‘The man, in his 30s, was taken to hospital.
‘We are investigating this incident as an assault, and believe this to be isolated with no wider risk to the public.
‘A 40-year-old man from Southsea has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
‘He remains in custody at this time.’
