Man assaulted and robbed in Waterlooville home by men with knife

TWO men, one holding a knife and one a stick, assaulted and robbed a man in his Waterlooville home.

Officers are investigating after the 55-year-old victim suffered bruising and cuts to his face from the attack on Sunday.

At around 3.30am, two men who had their faces covered broke into the Fennell Close home, through the back door, and threatened the victim.

One man was carrying a knife, the other was holding a stick. They assaulted the victim before taking £30 and running off.

The men were white, around 5ft 7ins, slim and in their early 20s.

The man carrying the knife was wearing a light-coloured hooded top, with the hood up, light-coloured tracksuit bottoms, gloves and trainers.

The second was wearing similar clothing and both men had their faces covered. They had local accents.

Officers have been carrying out enquiries in the area and have been offering crime prevention advice to residents.
