Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted by a group of youths in Havant.
The 19-year-old victim was walking in Park House Farm Way, at the junction with Quarely Road, when he was attacked at around 2.20am on Sunday, June 28.
He was listening to music on his headphones when he walked past a group of boys, aged between 16 and 18, on the opposite side of the road.
The man then heard something from behind and as he looked back he was struck and knocked to the ground, and then kicked by several people before the group ran off laughing, police have said.
The victim received minor bruising and cuts as a result of the attack. He did not require hospital treatment.
PC Lee Gott said: ‘I am appealing for any witnesses to this unprovoked and cowardly attack to come forward and speak to us.
‘If you saw or heard this incident, or think you know who might be responsible, please get in touch as soon as possible.’
Anyone with information should call police on 101, or alternatively call charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
