FOUR men punched and kicked a man to the floor in an attack.

Hampshire police said officers believe the assault outside A1 Tyres in Claremont Road, Fratton, was racially-aggravated.

The victim, 20, was talking with friends yesterday when he was punched in the face by one man, forcing him to the ground.

All the men, who were white, then punched and kicked him – stopping only when a 17-year-old girl stepped in and they walked off. The victim suffered cuts and bruises in the attack. One man wore a grey hoodie and another a black hoodie. One had a bandana. Two men, 42 and 28, from Portsmouth, were arrested.
