A 19-YEAR-OLD man had to be taken to hospital after two thugs got out of a car and attacked him as he walked home with his girlfriend.

The man was crossing Hyde Park Road, in Somers Town, when a car pulled up half a metre in front of him.

The driver and a passenger inside the car got out and assaulted the man before driving off towards Blackfriars Road.

The man was treated by medics for shoulder and chest injuries, which were not considered to be life-threatening. The attack happened between 2.10am and 2.25am on Thursday, June 28.

The driver of the car is in his 30s or 40s, 6ft tall with dark hair and tanned skin.

The passenger has a large build with dark curly hair. He was wearing jeans and pale blue T-shirt which had a pattern on the front.
