THREE men were arrested by police after an assault in Southsea.

A 43-year-old man was attacked near the taxi rank in Albert Road at about 12.30am on Sunday.

Police were called to the scene and the injured man, from Fareham, received treatment from paramedics.

He sustained facial injuries, including a suspected broken jaw. A 35-year-old man from Fareham and two 28-year-old men from Portsmouth were bailed by police until July 14.
