Man banned from driving for three years

A DRINK-DRIVER has been banned from driving for three years.

Michael Baker, 24, appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court where he admitted drink-driving. He was stopped in Lichfield Road, Park Gate, on October 25 last year.

A test showed he had 57 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, more than the 35mcg limit. District judge Anthony Callaway fined him £1,000 with the three-year ban.

He must pay a £100 victim fee and £450 costs. Baker admitted having no insurance.
