POLICE say a man suffered a broken arm in a fight in Guildhall Walk, Portsmouth.

The 23-year-old victim was assaulted between 1.35am and 1.40am on Saturday near the Wetherspoon pub.

Detective Constable Pete Bambury said: ‘This is a very busy part of Portsmouth and at that time of night I am aware that people were getting into and out of taxis, as well as pubs and clubs in the area. It is believe the two men involved in the fight had just left Babylon nightclub.

‘I need to find anyone who saw the fight, or the build-up to it, to make contact with me so a full investigation into how this man received these serious injuries can be completed.’

A 21-year-old man from Portsmouth has been arrested in connection with the incident.
