A MAN was caught in possession of a bayonet at his home on Christmas Day.

Piotr Lazicki pleaded guilty to having the knife in Hythe Road, Portsmouth.

The 38-year-old was ordered to do 80 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months.

Lazicki was told to pay £60 to a fund for victims of crime and £85 in court costs by Portsmouth magistrates.
