A MAN has admitted driving while disqualified.

Richard Ruffell pleaded guilty to driving a Mercedes in Moneyfield Lane, Copnor, Portsmouth, on January 17, while he was banned.

Ruffell, from Henley Road, Southsea, also admitted driving the car in Albert Road, Southsea, on February 1 while subject to the driving ban.

Ruffell pleaded guilty to driving the Mercedes without insurance on both occasions.

He was given a nine-month conditional discharge at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

The 50-year-old was also banned from holding or obtaining a driving licence for four weeks.

And Ruffell must pay £85 in court costs.
