A MAN has been charged after shining a laser pen at Hampshire’s police helicopter.

Daryl Bush, of Ledbury Road, Paulsgrove, was arrest follows an incident on Friday, August 26, when the South East Air Support Unit (SEASU) helicopter was flying over Paulsgrove and a laser pen was shone at it.

Bush has been charged with recklessly or negligently acting in a manner likely to endanger an aircraft or person in an aircraft.

The 24-year-old will appear before Portsmouth Magistrates Court on Monday, September 5.

One of the three crew members suffered sore eyes as a result.
