Man fined for assault
MAGISTRATES have fined a man for an assault that took place in the city.
Thomas Roberston, 30, of Liverpool Road, Fratton, admitted assault by beating in his street on December 3 last year.
Portsmouth magistrates fined him £225 with £50 compensation, a £30 victim surcharge and £310 prosecution costs to pay.
His plea was taken into account when sentenced.
