A MAN has been fined £130 after assaulting a man and a police officer.

Robert Rice, 35, of Horsebridge Road, Havant, committed the two offences on July 19 at an address in Botley Drive, Havant.

Portsmouth magistrates fined him £50 for assaulting the man and £80 for assaulting the officer in the execution of his duty.

He must also pay a £20 victim surcharge, £40 costs and a £150 criminal courts charge.

No compensation was ordered because of defendant’s income.
