A MAN was caught with a weapon on him that had been designed to give an electric shock.

Michael Betteridge, 50, of Meyrick Road, Portsmouth, pleaded guilty to having the weapon on him without permission at a home in Queens Road, Portsmouth, on May 11.

He was fined £525 and ordered to pay a £53 victim surcharge and £85 costs by Ports,mouth magistrates.
