A MAN has been arrested after a punch-up outside a pub left a man with a broken ankle.

The fight happened outside the Fountain Inn pub, on The Green, Rowlands Castle.

Trouble flared between the 35-year-old victim and another man outside the pub on Saturday, July 9, at 11.15pm.

The victim was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham, with a suspected broken ankle, a broken thumb, and a cut mouth.

PC Brent Vine, from Waterlooville police, said: ‘It is believed that there were about 20 people in the pub at the time.’

A 39-year-old man from Havant has been arrested on suspicion of assault and has been bailed until September 19.
