TWO thugs came away empty-handed after punching and kicking a man to the ground.

The 41-year-old victim received cuts and bruises when he was set upon by two young men in the early hours of Sunday morning.

He had left work in Bracklesham Bay at around 12.30am and walked past the Lively Lady, in Bracklesham Lane, and into a new housing development off Middleton Close.

He felt a hard hit to the back of his head which knocked him forward, and as he fell he was kicked in the face. His attackers searched through his pockets whilst shouting abuse, but he managed to struggle free before getting up and running away.

The offenders are under 5ft 9in tall, slim and quite young.
