A MAN needed hospital treatment after being kicked in the head during a late-night robbery.

The 22-year-old was approached by two men at The Hard in Portsmouth, near Gunwharf Quays.

He was persuaded to go with them towards a car parked in St George’s Street. He was then grabbed, thrown to the floor, and kicked several times in the head.

His black iPhone 4 in a black case was taken, along with house keys and his black wallet.

Now police are appealing for witnesses to the attack, which happened between 2am and 2.45am on Tuesday.

Det Con Jacqueline McMurchie said: ‘We know there were lots of people around as there was a student night at one of the clubs. I’d also like to remind people to think about their own personal safety. Try to leave clubs with friends, especially if you have been drinking.’

The men are both Asian and 20 years old. One has shaved black hair, is 5ft 10in and wore a red or black hooded top.

The other has short, dark hair and is 5ft, and of a slightly larger build than the other man.

Call police on 101.
