A THUG kicked a man in the face just for looking at him.

The 27-year-old victim was assaulted outside a pizza shop in Fareham.

He was sat on the kerb outside Herbies Pizza, in Gosport Road, when a man and a woman walked past him.

They appeared to be having an argument and when the victim looked up, the other man took offence.

He swore at the 27-year-old before kicking him in the face.

He then ran off with the woman up Gosport Road.

The victim was left needing stitches to his mouth after the unprovoked attack.

The suspect is described as a white man, who was between 5ft 6ins and 5ft 9ins tall.

He had short, dark brown hair and stubble.

He was wearing grey tracksuit trousers, a plain black T-shirt and white Reebok Classic trainers.

He was carrying a black scrunched up coat or hooded top.

PC Aby Smith, from Fareham police station, said: ‘This was an unprovoked attack on an innocent member of the public.

‘I appeal for anyone who recognises the description of the suspect or who may have seen or been made aware of the incident to contact police.’
