THUGS attacked a man leaving him needing hospital treatment for a cut head.

The victim, in his 30s, was assaulted on Thursday night and left with a ‘nasty cut’ after the attack near Holland House, Forton Road, Gosport.

Two men approached him at around midnight and one hit the victim with an unknown object.

Both men were white and aged between 18 and 24. They were slim and around 5ft 9in.

They wore dark clothing with hoods up.

One may have ridden off on a bike.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Emma Halliday said: ‘We’re treating this as an isolated incident and appealing for information from members of the public.

‘Were you in Forton Road at about midnight?

‘Did you see or hear anyone acting suspiciously or witness the assault?’
