A MAN who threatened to kill his flatmate has been warned he faces jail.

Matthew Day told a doctor he was going to kill his housemate Luke Adams when the pair lived together in Fareham.

Day, now of Magennis Close, Rowner, denied the charge but he was found guilty of making a threat to kill after a trial at Fareham Magistrates’ Court.

The 24-year-old admitted a string of other offences. They were sending offensive text messages, criminal damage and a racially-aggravated public order offence.

Day was released on bail to be sentenced in September.

The magistrates warned him that they would consider all sentencing options, including prison. He was ordered to stick to a curfew between 7pm and 7am until he is sentenced.
