A MAN admitted assaulting a woman and causing £270-worth of damage to her goods.

Brian Sheridan, 33, assaulted the woman by beating in Portsmouth on March 1.

He admitted damaging her television, CD player, glass and a wall. District Judge Anne Arnold imposed a community order, with a 15-day rehabilitation activity and 32-day relationship course.

Sheridan, of Eastney Farm Road, Eastney, must pay £320 in compensation, a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
