A MAN has admitted possessing cannabis.

James Hoare, 26, of Heathfield Road, Portsmouth, had two small bags of the class B drug in Stirling Street, Portsmouth.

He also admitted failing to surrender to custody and to possessing cannabis in Portsmouth in separate offences

Hoare admitted damaging a chip and pin machine at Speedy Cash in Portsmouth.

He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £25 victim surcharge by Portsmouth magistrates.

An order was made for the drugs to be destroyed.
