Man spared from prison for headbutt in assault

MAGISTRATES have spared a man prison after he headbutted a man in an attack.

Daniel Johnstone, 35, of Valentine Close, Fareham, admitted assault occasioning actual bodily harm and two charges of assault by beating.

The assaults took place on June 3.

Portsmouth magsitrates imposed a 26-week prison sentence suspended for 18 months.

Johnstone must pay £100 compensation.

Magsitrates ordered him to complete 30 days of rehabilitation activities with the probation service.
