POLICE were called to what has been described as a ‘concern for welfare’.

Officers were called to the area of London Road, Hilsea, at 8.40pm on Tuesday evening.

There were five police vehicles and officers were seen with a man who was taken away by medical staff.

A spokeswoman said no more details would be given.
