Man stabbed in chest found near Portsmouth train station

A MAN was taken to hospital after he was stabbed in the chest in Portsmouth.

Police said he was reported to have been assaulted in an alleyway in Guildhall Square.

He was found in Isambard Brunel Road opposite Portsmouth and Southsea train station by a traffic officer.

The 28-year-old, from Portsmouth, was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham.

The incident happened between 9.45pm, and 10pm on Sunday night.

A spokesman from Hampshire police said: ‘He was taken to QA Hospital for treatment with a small puncture wound to his chest.

‘There are not arrests at the current time.’
