ALCOHOL thief Stephen Holloway has been given a community order.

The 52-year-old, from Waverley Road, Southsea, admitted stealing a bottle of wine worth £4.99 from the One Stop store in Albert Road, Southsea, on April 7.

Holloway also admitted stealing a bottle of Cobra lager worth £2.35 from the Co-op shop in Isambard Brunel Road, Landport, Portsmouth, on the following day.

He was given a community order with a supervision requirement by Portsmouth magistrates. Holloway was ordered to attend appointments when requested for the next 12 months.
