A TEENAGER who stole beer from a nightclub had a knuckle-duster on him when he was arrested.

Michael Dobie took £6.80 of booze from the Highlights nightclub in Portsmouth’s Gunwharf Quays.

When he was stopped by the police they found the 19-year-old had the knuckle-duster in his pocket.

Dobie, of Kings Road, Hayling Island, pleaded guilty to theft and possession of an offensive weapon at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

He was given a 12-month community order and will get advice on jobs and training.

Dobie was also told to pay £6.80 in compensation to the nightclub and £40 in court costs.
