Man to appear at court after being charged with possessing drugs following police investigation

POLICE have charged a man for possessing drugs.

Officers investigating drug offences in Winchester have charged Dimitrios Karageorgiou, 31, of Southampton Street, Southampton, with possession of a Class B drug and possession of a Class A drug.

This comes after officers conducted a ‘proactive search’ on Victoria Road, Winchester, at around 12am on July 17.

A bag containing suspected Class A and Class B drugs, and cash, were found in a black Volkswagen Eos.

Karageorgiou is due to appear before Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on August 3.
