Man wandering into gardens is known to police

REPORTS of a man going into residents' gardens and taking items have sparked a police response.

Hampshire police said that multiple reports had been made on social media.

PCSO Steven Burden said: ‘Some of these reports have represented the male negatively.

‘Police are fully aware of this male and urge the residents of Southsea to not be alarmed.

‘We are currently using a joint agency approach to help resolve this current situation and provide the help and support that the man needs.’

Call police on 101 with any concerns.
