POLICE have confirmed that two men arrested after a pig’s head was tied to the gates of an Islamic school have been released.
Hampshire Constabulary said the men, 22 and 24, were released with no further action.
The pair had been arrested on suspicion of racially and religiously aggravated intentional harassment or distress by words or writing, a spokeswoman said.
It comes after horrified parents and children arriving at the gates of the Madani Academy in Lake Road, Portsmouth, were confronted with the animal’s severed head.
A Nazi swastika had been drawn on the head, which was discovered cable-tied to the gates in the morning of January 21.
