Police who were trying to find a mental health patient who went missing say he has returned.

Sussex Police issued the appeal to find Scott Walker, who they believed was trying to hitchhike towards Portsmouth.

A police spokeswoman said: ‘Mental health patient Scott Walker, who went missing yesterday, has returned to Graylingwell after learning of a media appeal for his return.

‘Police would like to thank the media for their support.’
