A Waterlooville girl missing from home for almost two weeks has been found safe and well.
Police announced late last night that Krystal Browne had been discovered.
The good news came just hours after the 14-year-old was featured in our round-up of missing Hampshire people.
Just before midnight, Hampshire Constabulary said: ‘We are pleased to confirm that missing teenager Krystal Browne and has been located safe and well this evening.’
Police had launched a search after Krystal was reported missing on November 29. They said that the schoolgirl could be in the Paulsgrove area of Portsmouth.
Her discovery came as a relief not only to friends and family but to the many people who have shared appeals on social media in a bid to help find her.
On the Hampshire Constabulary Facebook page, Becky Truscott said: ‘Brilliant News especially for her family and friends.’
Sharon Mckinlay wrote: ‘Fantastic news! I’m so pleased she is safe.’
And Stacey Purdy commented: ‘Fantastic news! Now hopefully whatever the reason for her going “walk about” can be talked through and resolved.’
