A POPULAR model village has been vandalised, causing hundreds of pounds worth of damage.
Southsea Model Village was broken into between 9am on Boxing Day and 9am this morning.
Vandals broke in and damaged the property, but didn’t steal anything.
Mike Armet, leaseholder of the attraction, said: ‘This morning when we went in, it was smashed open. Because they couldn’t get in they have taken off some wooden boards from the side of the building and smashed their way through.
‘There was nothing to steal because the fridges and stock were cleared out at the end of the season.
‘But they have done a hell of a lot of damage.
‘We have been broken into so many times. It’s going to cost us a few hundred pounds to fix.’
The attraction is due to re-open to the public in March or April this year.
