A THIEF stole money from an 83-year-old Fareham man in a distraction burglary.

At around midday on Saturday, January 19, a caller knocked on the door of the man’s home in Catisfield Lane and asked for gardening work, which the man refused.

Later, he realised £20 was missing from his wallet.

The caller was a white man with short dark hair, 5ft 5-8ins tall.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Shona Rust at Fareham on 101.
