EXTRA officers are being drafted in to police England’s Euro 2012 clash against Italy tomorrow.

Twenty-five extra officers will be on duty across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

But police are hoping fans will enjoy the quarter-final peacefully.

Superintendent Rick Burrows said: ‘We have got a police support unit on across the two counties taking account of the big screen at the Isle of Wight Festival as well. We have done that for all the England matches and so far it’s been quite low key.

‘Part of that contingent will be at Portsmouth.

‘The local policing area have put into that as well at key points.

‘It’s good natured. It’s about enjoying the event more than anything.’
