A MAN has been caught driving while twice the legal alcohol limit.

Grant Bartholomew, 28, of The Crossway, Fareham, admitted committing the offence while behind the wheel of an Audi A5 in the same street on April 19.

A test revealed his breath contained 75 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres. The legal limit is 35mcg.

Bartholomew was fined £550 and told to play a £55 victim surcharge and £85 in court costs by Fareham magistrates.

He was banned from driving for 17 months.
