Murder arrest after woman dies in Southsea window fall

A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman died after falling from a third-storey window.

Hampshire police said the 46-year-old man has since been bailed until March 24.

It comes after a 40-year-old woman fell from the window of a third floor flat in Clarendon Court, Clarendon Road, Southsea, at around 9.40am on Sunday.

She died from her injuries at Southampton General Hospital, police said.

A Hampshire police spoeswoman said: ‘There was a man seen in the street at the time of the incident, who alerted somebody to call 999.

‘We would like to speak to him as he may hold information useful to our investigation.’
