Ambulance crews were called to Hawksley Road, in the Hyson Green area of the city, at around 5.40pm on Wednesday.

The victim was taken to hospital but died a short time later, Nottinghamshire Police said.

Detective Inspector Justine Wilson said: '˜We are saddened by this incident and our thoughts are with the victim's family at this time.'
