Jeff Harris, placement co-ordinator for Community Rehabilitation Company South East, led the team.

He had been asked to help by Havant Borough Council.

PCSO Rachel Searle, who also attended, said groups of up to 30 aged between 13 and 18 were gathering in the area.

She said: ‘This has become a community priority area and the help is most grateful.’

The work took place last Thursday.

Offenders on probation can be ordered by the courts to complete between 40 and 300 hours of unpaid work, also known as community payback.
