AN ENGAGEMENT ring was among a haul taken by burglars in a daytime raid on a house.

Compaq and Inspiron laptops, two watches and a Nintendo Wii were also taken in the burglary in Fir Copse Road, Waterlooville, on March 24.

It happened between 7am and 4.30pm, when someone broke a wooden panel in a door at the back of the home to get in.

PC Lucia Davies said: ‘This incident has caused a large amount of upset to the homeowners. This is a busy residential road where many people would have been travelling to work or school. We would like to speak to anyone who saw people or vehicles acting suspiciously at any time on Thursday.’
