TWO men have admitted carrying out a vicious robbery that left a man unconscious.

Carl Sterling and Patrick Breen mugged Dale De La Mare in Gosport.

Sterling has also admitted escaping from police custody after his arrest.

Sterling, 27 and Breen, 23, both of Bury Road, Gosport, attacked Mr De La Mare in April last year, stealing his mobile phone. He was throttled and kicked in the head during the ordeal, Portsmouth Crown Court heard.

The pair were remanded in custody to be sentenced in February.
