DRINK-DRIVER John Payne has been banned from getting behind the wheel.

The 66-year-old admitted driving a BMW in Bridge Road, Park Gate, while over the limit.

A test revealed his breath contained 55 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres.

The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.

Payne, of Ravenswood, Fareham, was fined £200 and told to pay £15 into a fund for victims of crime and £85 in court costs by Fareham magistrates.

He was also banned from driving for a year.
