DRIVING without insurance has cost a young man six penalty points.

Magistrates fined Jacek Jasnowski, 22, of Somers Road, Somers Town, Portsmouth, after he pleaded guilty to driving without insurance.

He admitted committing the offence while he was driving a Vauxhall Vectra car in Beresford Road, North End, Portsmouth.

Portsmouth magistrates added six penalty points to his driving licence.

Jasnowski was ordered to pay £15 to a fund for victims of crime and £35 in court costs.

He was fined £120.
