Pensioner, 65, jailed for assaulting man

A PENSIONER has been jailed for an assault.

John Olivares, 65, of no fixed address, admitted assaulting a man by beating at Burger King in Commercial Road, Portsmouth, on March 2. He admitted criminal damage to a chair and wall at the same place.

Portsmouth magistrates jailed him for 10 weeks due to his record and lack of engagement with probation.

The pensioner admitted breaching two conditional discharges for being drunk and disorderly. He also admitted a new charge of being drunk and disorderly in Ludlow Road, Paulsgrove, on March 11 but receive no separate penalty.
