A pensioner was left with an injured lip after a queue-jumper threw a tub of butter at her.
The incident happened at the Co-op supermarket on the High Street, Eynsham, Oxfordshire at around 12.40pm on Sunday, October 21.
The victim, a 74-year-old woman, was standing in line when the offender pushed in front of her in the queue.
She told the man that people were queuing and the offender threw a tub of butter at her.
The victim suffered swelling and severe bruising to her lip, however she did not require hospital treatment.
Police have released a CCTV image of a man officers would like to speak to as part of their investigation.
Investigating officer PC Sarah Tibble based at Witney police station said: ‘I would like to speak to anyone who recognises the man in this image as he might have vital information relating to this incident.
‘If you know this man, or have any information as to his whereabouts, please call the Thames Valley Police non-emergency number on 101.’
