PROLIFIC thief Stuart McGibbon has been given a suspended sentence after he was caught stealing while he was serving a community order.

The 32-year-old stole £35 worth of clothing from Asda in Havant on October 12.

At the time he was on a community order after he stole tea bags from the BP garage in Petersfield.

McGibbon, of Bracken Road, Petersfield, pleaded guilty to theft when he appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

He was given a 30 day sentence suspended for six months. He will also have to attend a training scheme.
