A PLAQUE has been unveiled to mark the fire service and police joint headquarters.

Hampshire police and Hampshire fire service’s joint strategic headquarters in Eastleigh opened last year.

A joint reception has now been opened at the building.

Councillor Chris Carter, chairman of Hampshire Fire Authority, said: ‘We are proud of the collaborative work with our partners across Hampshire that helps keep our communities safer and this shared headquarters again shows us to be a national leader in innovative partnership.

‘We are also welcoming police teams in many of our fire stations across the county in order to further enhance the value we provide.’

Southsea neighbourhood team will move to Southsea fire station in July.
