A FIGHT broke out in the early hours of New Year’s Day outside a Portchester pub.

At least three people were injured during the brawl which took place outside the Seagull pub on Cornaway Lane.

Two men from Fareham, aged 19 and 51, needed stitches and a woman from Portsmouth, 22, suffered injuries when she was headbutted.

The fight started between 12.38am and 12.42am outside the pub and progressed into the car park.

Two men were arrested. A Fareham man, 26, was arrested on suspicion of attempted wounding with intent. Another Fareham man, 19, was arrested on suspicion of assault and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

Both were bailed until Monday, February 25.
